History

The UDC Holding (Universal Development & Construction Holding) is a holding which incorporates several companies that have worked on the real estate market in Ukraine since 1998. The idea of their consolidation in one organization appeared with ambition to create the biggest development company in Western Ukraine and use this synergy in the further development.

Preparation, organizational and structural coordination started at the beginning of 2008 and in a half of a year the UDC Holding was established. It comprises over 20 companies, among them are well-known companies from Lviv as CJSC "GBK Vash Dim", CJSC "Tehnopark LZTA", CJSC "Redan", CJSC "Progrestehbud" and a range of structures in Kiev with the "Universal Development Company" in charge.

This organization has showed particular efficiency in times of the financial crises which can be overcome only by strong and diversified players. Besides of mutual assistance and interchange of experience, the Holding got a great chance to reduce expenses by means of reduction of the repeating functions at different companies-members. All these actions led to establishment of the project office (around 40 specialists), the technical inspection group and forming of the projects management team. We introduce unified portfolio at the international exhibitions and conferences where we are regular participants.

Nowadays the UDC Holding has projects mostly in Western and Central Ukraine. However, the agreement, signed with the French company Accor (the biggest leader in hotels and tourism in the world) on construction and building of the network with more than 25 hotels, gives us a chance to move to the All-Ukrainian level.

In addition, the Company is now the pioneer in Ukraine in the Green Building Technology use. The UDC Holding developed this technology in Ukraine thanks to cooperation with Dress&Sommer (German company). These technologies allow to save on the energy use in the operation of real estate and also to carry out construction in the high-density areas (especially in the historical part of the city) where one may observe a significant lack of resources. In addition, all our projects passed through the strict architectural selection on correspondence of their styles to the uniform architectural ensemble.

Financial component in the Holding's activities is provided from several sources: income from the accomplished objects, bank credits (though, at the present stage we are reducing them at most) and cooperation with foreign and domestic investment funds.
