Kyiv. 15 April 2009. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Summer 2009 is the most suitable time for the development company to start new projects in the real estate sphere in connection with low cost of the construction materials and works, as Mr. Leonid Bogdanov, the UDC Holding's director, thinks.

"As soon as the construction sphere revives, there would be no chance to buy manpower cheap and so for the materials", - he informed at the press conference on Wednesday in Kyiv.

According to Mr. Leonid Bogdanov, the cost of the construction materials and works will increase together with the market revival. "It's difficult to say if this summer be bottom of the market or not, but now it is the most interesting period in terms of the construction materials purchase, in terms of new project start, in terms of absence of workloads in the construction companies, when we have a chance to choose from tenders, where 12-14 participants are involved, the best companies with the lowest prices at the market", - highlighted Mr. L.Bogdanov.

Director of the Holding also outlined that the dynamics of the price falling for the construction materials at the present exceeded the dynamics of the property price reduction, and that's why this sphere was more attractive for investments. "When we compare the level of the price falling for the construction materials and works, we'll see that it considerably exceeds the property price reduction", - said Mr. L.Bogdanov.

It was also stated that, one year ago, ton of the construction metal had cost approximately 7 ths. hrn. or $1400 at the exchange rate of that period and now the cost of one ton decreased to 4 ths. hrn. or $500 at the present rate.

Mr. L.Bogdanov also mentioned that the property investments had always been the best and the least risky variant of investment. "In spite of all market twists and turns, the most beneficial and the least risky investment mechanism is the property investment, as it was already shown by previous crisis periods", - he said.
